Take a day out of holiday madness:

It’s Take Your Daughter to Rock Day!

WHAT: A free showing of Girls Rock, an amazing movie (called “revolutionary!” by Seattle magazine), a performance by a Bach to Rock band, and a raffle for a Daisy Rock guitar and other prizes!

WHEN: 10:30 am on Sunday, December 14th

WHERE: The Avalon, Washington, DC

WHO: Moms, dads, daughters, (and sons, too!) who rock. Come see firsthand the magic that happens when girls raise their voices.

WHY: I love the message of this movie, and wanted to make it accessible to as many people as possible. So I’ve partnered with some really cool organizations to host a FREE screening of “Girls Rock!”

Bach to Rock is the DC area’s premier music school, with an amazing range of teachers and programs.

Daisy Rock Guitars are beautiful musical instruments, made specifically for girls and women.

Rock and Roll Mama (that’s me) is a mom who loves rock and roll, and revels in the fact that the next generation is shredding away!

HOW: Please leave a comment on this post, (make sure to fill out the email field, so I can get you the certificate) telling me how many people in your party. I’ll send you a certificate for the number you plan to bring. The Avalon 2 holds 165 people, and I want everyone to have a seat!

There will be bagels, coffee, and juice- if you’d like to be involved in sponsoring or promotion, please drop me a line at rockandrollmama(at)mac.com Also, to earn 3 free raffle tickets, please grab the badge in the right sidebar and spread the word! (To win the Daisy Rock guitar, you must be present at the screening-but out of town blog friends, we’ll have some cool giveaways in the week before the event too!

Hope to see you there, and Rock On!
